My Husband might be offered a management position within his company but it would require us to move from Columbus, OH to Rocklin, CA. We have worked so hard to get him a medical waiver which covers an in-home ABA program for 8 hours a week, we have a great ABA based school that is year round from 9am-4pm and we have a great Occupational Therapist, but we are always broke and need a change. I am completely terrified to lose everything we have worked for but I hear that California is great for Autism funding and schooling/therapies. Does anyone have any recommendations for any schools that are ABA based and go year round in the Sacramento/Rocklin area?? He needs the intensity because at 7 years old he is still not speaking as he also has Oral Apraxia. I've never even been to California and the online research is discouraging me. In Ohio, I was hitting the pavement visiting schools, calling, talking to parents, but I am now completely in the dark. Any help would be appreciated!!
